FAQS
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Most individual therapy sessions last 50 minutes.
Because standard EMDR is intended for 90 minute sessions, I offer 90 minute sessions for EMDR at a prorated fee. However, if 50 minutes is a better personal fit for you, I will honor your needs.
Couples sessions are 50 minutes unless the couple and therapist agree that more time is beneficial. In that case, prorated 75 minute or 90 minute sessions may be offered if schedules allow.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
No. Some insurance providers will offer a partial reimbursement for therapy. I encourage you to contact your provider to find out if this is an option for you. If it is, I do offer a monthly superbill for you if you should decide to submit a claim for partial reimbursement.
Because insurance reimbursements require a diagnosis and treatment code, these items will be listed in your superbill.

Benefits of not using insurance include:
Your number of therapy sessions is not limited by insurance companies.
You are not limited to certain service providers.
Your records are not subject to insurance audit.
No diagnosis to share with third party.

DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
A limited number of sliding scale fee rates may be available depending on number of slots filled.
IS TELEHEALTH THERAPY EFFECTIVE?
Yes.
People choose telehealth for a variety of different reasons for example, the convenience of not having travel time, or being able to have therapy in the safety and comfort or your home or other location of your choice.

Evidence suggests reliability of assessment, effectiveness of treatment, and statistically equivalent outcomes as compared to face-to-face therapy
